Regenerative medicine research can provide new treatment for degenerative diseases. For patients enduring aging, accidents or genetic diseases and serious muscle loss patients, in addition to taking anti-inflammatory drugs and suffering from pain, there is no feasible treatment. Therefore, the research and clinical application of muscle regeneration can provide a glimmer of hope for many patients. The research of muscle regeneration can also provide an important reference for the research of "artificial meat" and the field of biological machinery.
At present, the most powerful weapon to analyze the mechanism of muscle regeneration is genomics and metabonomics. However, these methods are still unable to effectively capture the complex spatiotemporal changes of regeneration process. Therefore, organ tissue models, also known as organoids, have been developed based on the regenerative ability of stem cells. Combined with the latest imaging mass spectrometry and imaging sequencing technology, we can analyze the complex spatiotemporal changes of molecules in the process of regeneration.
At this conference, Professor Huang Shiqiang will introduce regenerative medicine, as well as the cross fields and development trends of regenerative medicine and bionics. Professor Zhou Shaohua will introduce the "machine learning + knowledge modeling" method combining machine learning with domain knowledge, which can achieve the most advanced performance in many tasks such as medical image recognition, segmentation and analysis.
